TIES - Training in Effective Service

Equipping God's people for competent and anointed ministry

A Kent regional initiative designed for all who serve the church, which imparts knowledge and skills through the ministry of the Spirit.

This training will:

  • Produce life-long foundations
  • Impart faith through anointed ministries
  • Establish a sound theological understanding of scripture
  • Develop an aptitude to apply a biblical worldview to contemporary issues
  • Equip individuals with leadership, organisational and communication skills
  • Enhance the ability to communicate vital truths to others
  • Enable participants to more effectively disciple others
  • Empower the churches to serve Christ more effectively

How long will it take?

The full programme consists of 44 tuition days, spread over 2 years, plus some personal assignments and studies. However, T.I.E.S is designed to meet individual needs and can therefore be completed over 3 or 4 years, if people prefer.

The T.I.E.S. programme follows the calendar year in order to fit with most people's annual leave cycles. It requires one full Friday and Saturday of each month, excluding August. Holiday periods are avoided. After 2 years the syllabus schedule reverses so that the entire programme can be completed over 4 years using Saturdays only.

The Venue:

Sevenoaks Town Church, which has excellent facilities, will host the training. Sevenoaks can be easily reached on the M25, A25, and A21.
